Kidney Disease?

I have a friend who is Diabetic. She recently found out she has kidney Disease. Should she really be on he adtkins diet?? Isn’t the protein harming her Kidney’s more?

I’m not sure what kind she has. But the Doctor put her on the diet 4 years ago. Now this is a bad comparison, but. My cat had kedney problems for five years before he died. The vet put him on a NO protein diet. He said it would kill him. Now i know he was a cat, but the kedney function is the same. I am scared for my friends life. She has been diabetic for a long time and has never properly taken care of herself. It is catching up with her. I don’t want her to give up on life, and her lifestyle is killing her.

yea, your friend should see a dietician because both diabetes and kidney disease really do need a special diet to treat it well and prevent worse problems.

usually they go hand in hand…she should be on a diet from a doctor or dietitian…

My brothers had to for me my mother just passed away because it stated for diabetes the very best of failure and pulmonary disorders first which kidney disease does your post because of total kidney transplant few years ago because it stated.
