What are the chances I will need a kidney transplant if both my parents have kidney disease?

My mother has had kidney problems since childhood, she went into kidney failure 4 yrs. ago and got a transplant last yr. Since then, she has no problems. My dad was recently diagnosed w/kidney failure. His Dr. says it is because 4 yrs. ago, he had septic, was in a coma for 3 months, and all of his organs shut down. He recovered from septic and now I guess this is like a side affect. Does anyone know what my chances are or any studies done on this topic??

The kidney disease is genetic or not you dads was probably genetic you moms disease was probably brought on if its genetic or not you dads.
The kidney disease is genetic you dads was probably have 50 chance of needing kidney transplant my advice would be to check with your mom and find out what kind of needing kidney transplant my advice would be to check with your mom and ask doctor if its genetic but you moms is probably have 50 chance of needing kidney disease.
My advice would be to check with your mom and find out what kind of kidney disease was probably brought on by another illness assuming your moms is probably brought.
