My friend has a kidney cyst and do not know what kind of MD to see. Please let me know.
He needs to have the cyst removed. I do not think a Nephrologist can do the surgury. What kind of a doctor can do Kidney surgury? A general surgeon, or ??

A Nephrologist is best, but a GI doc is not bad.

A nephrologist is a medical doctor who specializes in renal (kidney) health. Most specialists require a referral from a GP (family doctor).

The internist or family practice physician that your friend sees hope your friend finds relief soon.
